What to check before buying catering counters in bulk

PVD sheet quality and thickness. The counter body is made from 0.8mm PVD sheet, check that the thickness is consistent and the PVD coating is evenly applied across the full surface including edges and corners. Thinner sheet dents and warps under regular use. Uneven coating shows wear quickly under event lighting. The laser-cut design must be clean and precise, rough or uneven cut edges affect how the light comes through and how the counter looks from a distance.

LED light quality. The laser-cut design is what lets the light show through the counter face, this is the visual feature that makes an LED counter stand out at a live event. Check that the LED strip is even in brightness, consistent in colour temperature, and properly fitted behind the panel. Uneven lighting or dead spots in the LED strip are immediately visible to guests and cannot be fixed on site.

SS 202 top. The stainless steel top carries the load of serving dishes, food containers, and equipment throughout the event. Check the gauge of the steel, the quality of the weld at the edges, and the flatness of the surface. A warped or poorly welded top is both a practical problem and a hygiene concern.

Height selection. Standard catering counters are 2.5ft height, the right dimension for all food service setups. Mocktail and cocktail counters are 3ft height for comfortable bar-style service.
